Description:

The publication captures the contributions of the distinguished speakers of the Anniversary Tribute for the ten years since the death of the great composer, organized by the Friends of Music Association in his Music Library at Megaro, in May 2015. It also includes a biographical note of Y. Sicilianos, a list of his works, photographs, tribute publications, and a list of musical events in his memory. “The constant anxieties and struggles of Yorgos Sicilianos in the field of musical creation, education, and culture are becoming more and more evident over time. And more noticeable, the valuable contribution he bequeathed to his country not only as a composer but also with his thorough speech and social work, as one of the most emblematic personalities of the modern Greek intellectual”.
