    18:40-20:00 – Lectures – 2nd Session Moderator: – Giorgos Sakallieros, musicologist, Assistant Professor, Department of Music Studies, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki   Speakers: – Anargyros Deniosos, musicologist-composer – “Origins and Sources of Yorgos Sicilianos’s Music: A Brief Overview” – Nikos Tsouchlos, conductor, musicologist, Associate Professor, Department of Music Studies, Ionian University – “The Lady of the Moonlight by Yorgos Sicilianos” – Panos Vlagopoulos, musicologist, Assistant Professor, Department of Music Studies, Ionian University – “In the Manner of Yorgos Sicilianos: Music and Language in the Violin Concerto” – Georgios Demertzis, violinist – “Yorgos Sicilianos’s Chamber Music with Strings” – Charis Dimaras, pianist, Professor, Ithaca College (New York) – “The Conferenza Musicale Mediterranea of 1995 as the Beginning of a Multifaceted and Significant Relationship with Yorgos Sicilianos”     During the break, the exhibition curator will guide the audience through an exhibition that includes material from the Sicilianos Family Archive, the Yorgos Sicilianos Archive housed in the Historical Archives of the Benaki Museum (*), and documents from the collection of the Music Library.
