New Helsinki Quartet

Violist Ilari Angervo studied at the Sibelius Academy under Helge Valtonen and Jouko Mansnerus. From 1988 to 1990, he continued his studies in Berlin at the Hochschule der Künste with Wolfram Christ. Angervo has served as Principal Viola of the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra since 1990. He has performed as a soloist with most Finnish orchestras, as well as in Germany, Russia, and Japan. Ilari Angervo plays on an Italian viola from the early 18th century.
