Choir
Founded in 1965 under the direction of Nicholas Braithwaite in London, United Kingdom. The Saltarello Choir appears on a recording (1977) with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Elmer Bernstein (Miklós Rózsa’s Thief of Bagdad) and with Robert Beatty as narrator on Christmas Story (1968).
African Sanctus for choir, soloists, orchestra, and prerecorded tape by David Fanshawe (1942-2010) was first performed in London by the Saltarello Choir in July 1972 and was later played on BBC Radio on United Nations Day.
