He was born in Thessaloniki. He studied on a scholarship at the Vienna Music Academy, graduating in 1965. He took postgraduate studies in Italian and German opera under the tenor Franco Corelli, the contralto Giulietta Simionato etc. He participated in performances of the State Opera of Vienna as well as opera theaters in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the USA and Canada. He gave recitals and participated in tours in various European countries. In the first “Dimitria” (1996) in Thessaloniki, he participated in the Oratorio Agios Dimitrios by N. Astrinidis. He sang in three opera productions in the frame of Northern Greece State Theater: Tosca (1980), Otello, directed by Tito Gobbi (1978), The magic flute [Die Zauberflöte] (1979) and Fidelio (1978). He taught singing in Thessaloniki. He has sang in the Concert Hall of Athens. He cooperated with GNO in the period 1981-96, performing in 25 productions and/or revivals interpreting leading and supporting bass roles in 13 operas such as: Sparafucile [Rigoletto], Dr. Grenvil [La traviata], Colline [La Bohème], Nikitich [Boris Godunov], Kyriakos [The mother’s ring/To daxtylidi tis manas], Ferrando [Il trovatore], Don Carlo [Don Carlo], Angelotti [Tosca] etc.
