Children's Choir

It is the spiritual fruit of the Choir Music School of the Agios Efthymios Keratsiniou Church. Founded in May 1966 with around 100 members by the then head of the Church, Father Stefanos Lachanis, and the musician D. Kanaris.

Under the continuous care of His Eminence Metropolitan of Nikaia Georgios, it received honorary distinctions in concerts in Nicosia, Limassol, and Famagusta in Cyprus. It won second place in the Panhellenic Choir Festival at the Hilton in 1978 and first place in 1979 and 1981. It has collaborated with foreign orchestras within the framework of the Athens Festival at the Odeon of Herod Atticus, appeared on television, and participated in the International Choir Festivals of Kefalonia and at all the events of the Ministry of Culture and Sciences (“EXPRESSION 81-82”).

It has sung at the events of the Christian Youth of Volos and Nafpaktos, visited Aretso in Italy in August 1982, and was invited for exchange visits by the children’s choir of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Prague. It has also released five lp records and many cassettes.
