Dimitris Georgiadis

Dimitris Georgiadis was born in Corfu in 1987. He graduated from the Drama School of the Art Theatre of Karolos Koun in 2011 and from the Moscow Theatre Academy (GITIS) in 2015. During his studies in Russia, he participated in performances and theatrical productions and presented the documentary series The Journey of a Greek in Russia. The third season of the series airs every Saturday on the Russian state channel “Kultura.”

In Greece, Georgiadis has collaborated with the theatre group PYR and director Io Voulgaraki in productions such as Intolerance (Onassis Stegi, 2015) and Molly Sweeney (Theatre of the New World, 2017–2018). He has also worked with the National Theatre of Greece on productions including Oedipus Rex (2016), Playwright of the Month (2016–2017), and Peace (2017). In the summer of 2018, he performed in Agamemnon directed by Cezaris Grauzinis. During the 2018–2019 season, he appeared in Youth’s Illness (Theatrical Organisation of Cyprus), directed by Aliki Danezi-Knutsen, and in the summer of 2019, he participated in the Oresteia trilogy (National Theatre of Greece), directed by Io Voulgaraki, Lily Meleme, and Georgia Mavragani.

Georgiadis has also appeared in television and film productions in Greece and Russia, including The Red River (Open TV), Viking, and Man of God.

In addition to his artistic work, Georgiadis directs the Contemporary Greek Cinema Festival in Russia and teaches acting at the Drama School of the Athens Conservatory.
