Magda Pietraszewska is a highly accomplished cellist with extensive experience in both orchestral and solo performances. She has worked with prestigious orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and the London Contemporary Orchestra. Pietraszewska has served as principal cellist in several ensembles, including the International Baltic Chamber Orchestra and Sinfonia Cymru. She has also performed as a soloist, notably with orchestras like the Poznan Philharmonic and the Zielona Gora Philharmonic, interpreting works by Haydn, Shostakovich, and Dvořák.

Her career extends to collaborations with artists such as Kanye West and Laura Mvula, and she has participated in various chamber music projects, including the Gagliano Ensemble and Piaccere Trio. Pietraszewska’s talent has been recognised through numerous awards, including the Giles Petersen BBC Radio 1 Worldwide Award and the Park Lane Group Award with the Wu Quartet.

Educated at the Royal Academy of Music and the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music, she holds distinctions in both her postgraduate and master’s degrees. Her teachers include world-renowned cellists such as Mats Lidstrom and Z. Nelsova.
