Pianist
Kidoniatis was born in 1908 in Tripoli, studied music in Athens, and continued his studies in Paris and Brussels. Returning to Greece, he began to work in various fields, as a conservatory teacher, as a composer, but also as a conductor, and as an accompanist for singers. His music is part of the benevolent “National School” (although not strictly), with references to the richness of folk music, its scales, and rhythms. Especially the works of chamber music have fluidity, vigor, and the melodic fluency of French music from the middle of the 20th century.
