Percussionist
Gyula Racz, born in 1942, is a musician, percussionist, and music educator of Hungarian origin, currently residing in Germany. He studied “Music Mediation/Concert Pedagogy” and earned his doctorate in 2015 at the University of Augsburg. His professional activities have been centered in Würzburg and Stuttgart. Racz has arranged pieces for mallet instruments (vibraphone, marimba, xylophone, and glockenspiel) from various classical composers, including Jacob van Eyck and Igor Stravinsky. He is also known for his publication “Das große Buch der Schlagzeugpraxis,” considered a standard work in the field.
