Dana Hatzigeorgiou is a distinguished Greek cellist, born in Warsaw, where she completed her studies at the Music High School. After excelling in a school competition, she pursued further studies in the former Soviet Union at the P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory under the tutelage of the renowned cellist and professor Maria Tchaikovskaya. She graduated with the title “Master of Arts.”

In Warsaw, she worked as a musician with the Capella Arcis Varsoviensis Chamber Orchestra and as a cello instructor. Χατζηγεωργίου has performed as a soloist with various musical ensembles and has premiered numerous contemporary music works. Her recordings have been featured on radio and television both in Greece and abroad.

She has also actively participated in chamber music concerts and has contributed to the recording activities of the Athens Trio. For 30 years, Χατζηγεωργίου held the position of principal cellist with the Greek National Opera. She currently serves as a cello professor at the Hellenic Conservatory.
